Administrative Assistant (Fund Development)

Temporary Part-time

Term: September 2023 – December 2024

Reports to: The Library Director

Position Summary:

This position will provide administrative support for the library’s fund development function including assisting the Library
Director in developing relationships and connections with the local community, implementing the annual fund development
plan, pursuing funding and sponsorship opportunities, and administrative assistance in maintaining fund development
records, including the fund development database.

Required Training, Experience, Skills:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma
  • Minimum of two years of related administrative experience
  • Excellent oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills


  • Public library experience
  • Experience working in the not-for-profit sector

Employment Terms:

  • 24 hours per week
  • $28.21-32.85 per hour
  • Some evening and weekend work required
