The Chinook Arch Regional Library System invites applications for an enthusiastic and service-oriented Library Technician to join our collaborative team. This permanent, full-time position includes
cataloguing and processing functions, and also supports the Interlibrary Loans Team as needed. The salary range for this position is $43,067 – $62,163. The Successful Candidate will have:
- A diploma from a recognized Library Technician program or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of cataloguing principles according to the current version of RDA (Resource Description and Access)
- Knowledge of the Dewey Decimal Classification system, Library of Congress Subject Headings and MARC
- Excellent attention to detail
- Must be well organized, self-directed, and able to meet multiple demands
- Demonstrated customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Previous experience in Technical Services department is an asset
- Knowledge of Symphony Workflows software is a strong asset
- Valid class 5 Alberta Driving License with a three-year clean driving record
