Manager, Learning Commons
Duties: This position reports to the Dean Innovation, Teaching and Learning and focuses on directing services within the Learning Commons. The Manager of the Learning Commons manages library services, FOIPPA, copyright, tutoring services, and the Production Support Centre in alignment with the College’s strategic directives.
The Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Learning Commons/Library, Production Support Centre (PSC), and tutoring support services to ensure that the department continues to evolve to address student success. They will ensure the operational direction and planning of the Learning Commons is developed and acted upon within the context of the College’s overall strategic plan in collaboration with the Dean of Innovation, Teaching and Learning.
Qualifications: An ALA/CLA accredited Library degree; a Master’s degree is preferred. Five years of directly relevant administrative experience with progressive library professional experience, preferably in an academic or research library along with 1-2 years supervisory experience including personnel recruiting, selection, conflict resolution and performance management, developing and managing budgets. The selected candidate
will have demonstrated experience with Copyright, Records Management, and Freedom of Information & Protection of Privacy Act, preferably in a post secondary environment.

Salary: The starting annual salary is $83,799 to $111,732 for this Management Group position. Management Group employees are eligible for annual salary increases within and above the starting range through demonstrated performance.
