Membership

The Foothills Library Association (FLA) brings together individuals in the Calgary and area library community.

FLA supports its members in being active, engaged and knowledgeable information professionals, through professional development and networking opportunities. Membership is open to people interested in the information profession.

The annual membership fee is $30.

Membership benefits include:

  • Eligibility for the FLA Travel Grant for members attending professional conferences.
  • Reduced rates for FLA events such as Calgary Libraries in Action, Bubbly Brunch and more.
  • Networking with colleagues and socializing with friends.
  • Opportunities to serve on the FLA Executive and make a difference in the profession.

Starting in September 2021, FLA will be accepting membership payments via e-transfer. Under Payment Information in the Membership Form, select the option to send an e-transfer to the Foothills Library Association, then send the e-transfer to treasurer@fla.org
