Event: BOOKS ‘N BREWS

Foothills Library Association is proud to be partnering with Owls Nest Books and Bottlescrew Bills in order to bring you our first ever Books ‘N Brews event! We are throwing a book fair for grown ups, so come on down, join us, be entered to win door prizes, browse some books and bookish swag, and in general have a grand time.  

When: March 23, 2023

Where: Bottlescrew Bills from 5:30pm – 8:30pm 

Additional Information: Ticket purchase grants access to the event, as well as entry into door prize drawings. Food, drinks, and books are by individual purchase. Safewalk will be provided, please indicate on the registration form whether you will require this service. Dogs are not only welcomed but also encouraged.

The Foothills Library Association hosts several events through the year: for example Bubbly Brunch, Netpub, Calgary Libraries in Action, 5 Minute AGM.

Grant

The Rachel Chan Memorial Grant offers funding to FLA members in the form of a grant of up to $500.00. The Rachel Chan Memorial Grant is named in honour of a former University of Calgary Librarian and FLA Executive member.

Career Connects

Career Connects is a career related informational service offered by FLA for the Alberta library community. The purpose is to provide potential and new library professionals to connect for the purpose of an informational interview.

Jobline

The Jobline was developed and is managed by the Foothills Library Association to support library, archive, and information management professionals throughout Western Canada.
