We need an enthusiastic and creative student to join our team this summer to run our Summer Reading Club 2023. We want to bring the love of reading to our whole community this summer and help kids earn prizes for reading! Our program is based around STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) concepts and we want to ignite a passion for lifelong learning in children.
About Us:
Our library staff are versatile and friendly people who want to make a difference in our community. Helping people is important to them-one minute, they’ll be help with technology questions, the next they’ll be running a program and then they’ll be helping someone find a book. They connect people to the resources they need. They are active in the community and visit schools, seniors’ centers and other organizations. They are tech-savvy, curious and eager to share what they know with others.
Job Requirements:
This is a Young Canada Works position so applicants must qualify for the Young Canada Works program. Visit young-canada-works.canada.ca for full details. You must have completed Grade 12 and be enrolled in post-secondary studies in the fall.
