Position Details
The Thorsby Municipal Library is seeking a Library Manager estimated at 35 hours per week.
Our ideal candidate will have completed a library technician diploma, or a degree in Library and Information Studies, as well as be familiar with current library services and software.
- Have the ability to develop and maintain a working relationship with our main support systems of Yellowhead Regional Library and the Town of Thorsby, as well as assist the Library Board to develop budgets, policies and follow our Plan of Service.
- Be community minded and be willing and able to offer fresh new ideas and follow through for programming and community enrichment.
- Offer strong computer, social media and technical skills.
- Excel in strong direct communication, delegation of tasks and maintain the ability to manage a small staff and volunteers while maintaining a positive environment.
